Studio Ghibli, the renowned animation powerhouse, has once again made headlines with its latest release, "How Do You Live?" Directed by the iconic Hayao Miyazaki, the film has earned the distinction of being the most expensive production in the history of Japanese cinema. The animated masterpiece, which took nearly seven years to complete, raked in an impressive $430 million within its first month of release in Japan.

The narrative is set against the backdrop of World War II England and follows the adventures of a young boy named Mahito. After a tragic loss, Mahito discovers a magical realm, embarking on a transformative journey of self-discovery.

Producer Toshio Suzuki, in a candid interview, revealed that the film's budget surpassed that of any other Japanese movie, including the previous record-holder, "The Tale of Princess Kaguya." While the exact production cost remains undisclosed, Suzuki's comments hint at a groundbreaking figure.
