Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 was supposed to come out in October—Fall 2021 anime lineup. But last year's fans were disappointed by the sudden delay of the much-awaited second season.

However, the wait is finally over, and Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 has finally been confirmed for March 2022—Spring 2022 anime lineup.

The news was announced on Twitter with a new visual teaser to commend the confirmation of Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 release date.

 The new Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 will continue the story, set right after the ending of Rising of the Shield Hero Season 1. The new season 2 will cover the Spirit Turtle Arc and is expected to go on for 12 episodes.

Shield Hero follows the story of Naofumi, who gets transported into a fantasy world, along with three more Heroes. But due to some circumstances, he gets acquitted as a criminal and gets thrown out of the Hero's party. Only to live on the streets to survive and uncover the reason behind this discrimination.
