Toei Animation, Funimation to Hold a Global Livestream Event to Celebrate One Piece's 1,000th Episode on November 20
Yes, you read that right. One Piece is finally crossing the 1,000th Episode mark this November. And Toei and Funimation are celebrating the occasion with a special Livestream event.
The Livestream will be hosted by the Youtuber and a self-described "professional One Piece fan" RogerBase. And the event will also stream Episode 998 and Episode 999 for free and will also be giving away prizes to some special fans.
The event will be live-streamed on Toei Animation’s and Funimation’s YouTube Channels and on the One Piece Official Facebook page on November 20 at 3 p.m. PST.
Whereas, the 1,000th episode of the One Piece Anime will debut on November 14th. Eichiro Oda published the 1,000th chapter of the One Piece Manga in this year's combined 5th/6th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on January 14th.
Aside from this Livestream event, Toei Animation and Fathom Events are already holding a special theatrical screening of the One Piece Movie Strong World in the US. The film will premier with English Dub on November 7th and then again with English Sub and Japanese Dub on November 9th. The screening will also include the 2011 premier of One Piece 3D: Mugiwara Chase film.
Also, Radwimps released a One Piece inspired song, and a short drama series “We Are One” premiered on August 30th to commemorate the 100th One Piece Manga Volume and the 1,000th episode of the One Piece Anime.
