SUSTAINABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY

WE HAVE TEAMED UP WITH CARBONCLICK

There’s only one thing we’re more passionate about than our business… the planet! This is why we’re making an effort to use sustainable practices in every part of our business. We’ve teamed up with CarbonClick, a New Zealand company making it easy for people and businesses to help fight climate change.

CarbonClick looks like a green button at checkout. When you click it, a small contribution is added to your basket which purchases carbon offsets. These offsets reduce the environmental impact of the carbon emissions related to the purchase. CarbonClick’s offsets fund forest restoration, tree planting, and renewable energy projects around the world. We’re proud to be part of the fight against climate change.

We’ll be making our own contributions, and changing our practices to reduce our carbon footprint. We hope you’ll join us in creating a sustainable future, by choosing CarbonClick with your purchase.

Super dope to hear about the sustainability efforts in manufacturing and shipping—a little concerned about the offsets piece. A lot of offset companies end up conducting practices that are a little on the shady side, to say the least—for example, one such company claiming that funds are allocated to “saving forests,” when the forest they were talking about was an established nature reserve, not a location that was being sized up for deforestation.

I’m sure the crew did their research into CarbonClick, but it may be more effective, cost- and results-wise, to simply donate the money spent with them to alternative energy sources or in-house sustainability efforts, like the machines you use that save water! If you already have the money allocated to spend on carbon-click, you could use it, instead, on more direct methods.

    Thanks!
